Please forgive my lack of knowledge questions.Bu eserin bestekarı olan Şerif, doğal olarak Şerif Dedeoğlu değildir.
Nothing to forgive here, a very understandable question. Please forgive my lack of knowledge questions.
If you don't mind, I would appreciate an answer when you have a moment.
I know that "H1" is "1 hane", "M" is "Mülâzime" and "H2" is "2 hane", but what is the "Z"?
Thank you very much for your response.Nothing to forgive here, a very understandable question.
“Z”, here, would be “Zeyl”; an extension of the piece, meant to indicate that the piece is longer than the 17th century standard 3 hânes. It seems to be an late 16th-early 17th century innovation of Anatolian and Balkan musicians (as opposed to Persian or Arab ones), as they did not like the fact that Darb-ı Feth could only be looped 6 times before ending the piece.
Your other comments are all correct; on this one, the structure of a piece with Zeyl should be as follows:Are you saying that you inserted the Zeyl part before the 3 hâne in Peşrev where there was only 3 hânes ?
Nezaketiniz için teşekkür etmek istiyorum.Your other comments are all correct; on this one, the structure of a piece with Zeyl should be as follows:
"H1-M-H2-M-Z-H3-M-Z"
