Keman Applicability of Makam to Other Ethnic Music

Good Afternoon,
I had received Good advice about Turkish Makan which I intend to follow but one question I have is whether learning Turkish Makan will help me learn Other Ethnic Group's like Greeks, Armenians, Azeris and Shephardic Jewish Folk Music and Classical Music.
I had heard that Azeris use a Different System called Mugham, and I have heard contradictory information about Greeks and Armenians. Is it possible I can play Folk Music of these Ethnicity too if I learn

Hello! Personally, I benefit from learning about Turkish Makam aspects, although music of South Caucaus (Georgia/Armenia/Azerbaijan) doesn't align directly to this system. Still there are similarities both in names and in intonation. There are some mode names that are obscure and/or obsolete or only understood by a diminishing number of musicians (since many simply transition to a Western style).
